Okay. Dear $taffies. What the fuck. No, I am dead serious. What the actual fuck. Guys, Web 2.0 died as a concept back in 2004 for a reason. You are literally designing a site based on ten year old design principles of how connectivity and featuresets work.

What you are doing right now is a prime example of a development team that has no idea what's going on outside their little bubble. It's honestly sad, it's a little like watching that retarded kid that was dropped down the stairs head-first stick a fork into the electrical outlet while covered in saline water. Guys, hashtags don't mean shit. Literally only twitter has used hastags with any kind of success. Hastags are a tool, not a fucking feature to re-create the site around. So, you guys now think that dA is a microblogging site? Really? I'm not even going to mention the status updates. How painfully obvious can you be in your pandering?

Well, as we are here anyway, I might as well teach you a couple of things:

In digital design, there is a concept that's called Feature Creep. You guys are sticking your dick into that concept and wiggling it around, wrecking the shit out of the service you provide. What is your goal? Do hashtags, Motion comic support, points, llama bdges and all of the #features you are adding mindlessly helping? No.

Remember the KISS principle? No? Let me brush it up for you: KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID. If you aren't good enough at making advanced features, don't. Keep it short, simple and sweet.

Also, you guys are failing at THE UTTERMOST BASIC PARTS OF USER INTERFACE DESIGN.

And as a final note, take a look at how User Experience Design is done.

deviantART, you are not twitter or facebook. Remember that.

FAQ:

Q: Are you a "Troll"
A: No, I am not a troll. Stating an opinion that does not support yours isn't trolling. Neither is a critique if you asked for one. Neither is pointing out flaws in logic.

Q: Am I going to get banned?
A: No. Or, well, It's not for me to decide anyways. The link in my signature is a prank link; me.deviantart.com, that links directly to your own profile.
-I just happen to like to cause a little paranoia once in a while.

Q: Those are some nice images you have there! How did you paint it/take the photo/where did you take it from the internet?
A: Thanks, but they are (mostly anyways) not photographs or "real" paintings. They are fractals. To say it simply, infinite shapes made by math. I just happen to "paint" with numbers instead of acrylic. Since fractals can scale up and down infinitely, I can render a fractal in virtually any size I want.

Q: Where can you be found?
A: the #Aposhack chatroom! There are some awesome people there!

Q: Do you think there should be a "cutoff age" on deviants?
A: Anything below 15-years-old shouldn't be allowed online without supervision. PERI-FUCKING-OD. Too much drama, too many "misinterpretations" of the rules and too much BAAAAAAW.

Q: Do you roleplay?
A: Yes, I play Exalted. My dearly departed character Rei was a lot of fun. Now Amber of North has to take over in his place.

Q: Color or Colour?
A: Colour.

Q: That cane in your picture... Do you REALLY use it?
A: I have a bad habit of twisting my knee, so yes, I do use it.

Q: 50 1 H34RD U L!3K MUDK195?
A: Fuck off.

Q: What is art??
A: Art is a piece of craft in a media one is able to perceive with one or more of our five senses that conveys either a message from the artist, an emotion or just an ambient feeling. Therefore, your crappy sonic recolour is not art. It is just a crappy piece of craft. Deal with it.

Sorry for everything that I did.  I don't have a good painting program and it's really hard to draw good on my laptop.  Also because of my attitude.  I just act like that around my friends on here because were hyper and crazy, and I do want to become a good artist on DA.  But we all have different ways of drawing.  I wasn't born with it I learned how to draw.  All my friends might be a bit immature at sometimes and we aren't the best artist's ever but we learn how to make it all work out.  I do want to draw like you someday but right now I'm just taking baby steps.  I know I'll get there someday.
