First of, I have got to say I love this piece of yours!

Love the flow of the total piece. The fact that it starts out from the bottom corner and sort of "fans" out towards the edges, thus reducing the deep colours to light colours is a great touch. And it has that slight gnarly feel to it also.

As you said, it's not that cold blue colour as you have mentioned, which might either be because I love all the ranges of blue or because it has a more greenish look on it. The slight dab of red creates a contrast, but a bit dull for me, and not that bright, which is alright, given it represented your emotional status at that moment. It does feel a bit like Sistino with all the emotions and flow in it.
A bit more of other blue variations would have been suitable to make it more colder and the brightness level is alright for this.
