Wow. All I can say is that this gave me a serious nostalgia-trip.
The style and absurdity of the image reminds me of my old, illustrated version of Alice in Wonderland, because it has the very same key elements. Thin inked lines, the empty space with action, the everything!

What strikes me most about this is the mix of dreamlike innocence and a darker theme of escaping death.

As anyone can see, this piece also has a wonderful texture made with thiiiiin and delicate strokes. The strokes follow and create a gentle flow in the illustration and it really makes it superb.

If I have to point out a flaw, then it should be this:
Some of the mushrooms throw me off a little, like one that grown in what appears to be thin air and one that suddenly goes from 2D to 3D because of an overlook in shading.

But all in all, I would love to own this piece and hang it in my bedroom as an eternal reminder of my childhood.
