How to really get famous on dA - 100 point giveaway!

So, I have been seeing a lot of these guides, but let's be honest. They are either incredibly, incredibly long-term or simply don't work at all. All of these have points like "comment on things, be yourself, share your awesome", but let's be honest. That doesn't work.

No, I am here to show you how to break the lotus-eater machine behind short-term dA fame. I'll teach you to exploit the systems so dA will have a reason to fix them.

Yeah, I am writing this completely out of my own selfish desire to get dA's popularity system either broken and bended over a snooker table or fixed. So use these exploits while they still work. And I will be using these as means to spread the message. Because the algorithms dA use are borked and easily exploitable.

100-points giveaway "contests".

This one is the easiest one to pull of, and has a relatively low cost-per-watch ratio. 100 points is roughly one dollar. And you have no fucking idea how desperate dA is for that dollar. It's been proven again and again. It is absolutely horrible to see how many 12-year-old kids would suck your c- erh, I mean watch you if you make it a part of the draw.

The way one sets this up it simple. You have 100 points, and you want to share your wealth with the world. But how do I get attention doing this?

1: Make it mandatory to +watch you to be a part of the draw.
-This one is logical, right? You only want people you "know" to be a part of the draw. This'll generate watchers like puppy mills generate in-breeding.

2: Make it mandatory to share your giveaway link in their journal.
-This one makes the drones share your giveaway and possibly, make their wathcer and their watchers add you. Yes, that's what you want. Let that spread like a herpes in a whorehouse.

3: "Comment and +fave this journal to be part of the draw"
-The way the system works, +faves and comments bump your journal. I have tested this twice, and fuck me if it works.

4: Make yourself seem EXTREMELY generous.
-Fake modesty. They must not know it is a shallow ploy to get their undeserved attention.

So, this has some weaknesses. People might unwatch you afterwards, but there is a fail-safe for that too: Promise more giveaways in the future.

Spam.

I don't mean as in "LOLZ UR MOM SUCKS MAH COCK HAXORRZLOL", but Group Spam. Submit your works, journals and "writing" to several hundred groups. It doesn't matter if it's related or not, it'll most likely still go through no matter how shit it is. Submit to 200 groups, 50-100 will accept. That's much, MUCH more exposure than you would ever have thought possible.

Bonus points if you combine this with the 100-poiunt giveaway. This will guarantee you to win the dA lottery.

The forums are also a thing. Especially try to suck that one dry. Post all of your thumbs.

Make Fan Art.
Let's be honest. Fan Art generates 10000 times the attention of original content. All of you fan artists out there can bitch and moan about me being biased, but trust me, even a shitty doodle of Naruto with 8 tits will most likely get more comments and faves than I have gathered over a week of work. In case you don't believe me, try making an account for original stuff without announcing it to anyone and see how it fares.

Sell your soul to popular franchises. Good suggestions would be Naruto, Bleach, Manga-of-the-week, Hetalia, My Little Pony or Anything involving Yaoi.
Because the 12-years-old really love the ghey smeks lol.

ALSO DO CROSSOVERS BECAUSE THAT IS TOTALLY FUNNY AND ORIGINAL AND YOU ARE WITTY ENOUGHT TO MAKE A NARUTO PONY!
BONUS ALSO: Create steampunk/emo/victorian versions of said fanart. Yes, this is even more original I have never seen this done before.

Art "contests" (AKA Free Fanart)
Let's face it. You want to reap the harvest of your newly found popularity and want to host an actual contes-HAHAHA who am I kidding? You make a bogus one to capitalise on yourself: "Draw my OC contest". For the 100 points from before, you can get maybe 10-20 pieces of free art of your character in a setting you control. That's like paying $1 for 20 commissions. And people will join the band-wagon because you have the 100 points up for raffle. Same rules apply to this as for the contest.

Be a premium member.
This one sucks for me, but I am personally against having a PM on dA, mostly because it doesn't do shit anymore and because I refuse to pay dA or have someone spend their money on dA for me; at least until they fix their path.

But for you, it might be a great tool. That shiny-ass star makes people trust in you. "Oh, he's a paid member. He must know what he is doing. He has a shiny star badge, after all!!"

Misupload at a lesser used category on purpose.
dA has a different threshold of what is "popular" and gets featured on the front page per category. Purposefully put your shitty anime drawing into something less popular for a higher chance of hitting front page.

RP in the comments.
This boosts the comment count and ups your popularity slightly. Even the cheap tricks work here.

Be a DramaLlama.
People flock to see you fling shit around the shiny, transparent monkey cage that is dA. The more drama you generate, the more people will stop by, boosting your totally important page views! Remember, kids: Negative attention is better than no attention at all. I think.
